Single Room No.1 available $65 per night minimum two nights, or $455 a week.

If you are a FI/FO (work in the mining industry) If you wish to compare the option to having a permanent room, or come here and only pay for the week you are in Perth, with a 2/1 swing this works out at $147 a week over 12 months (if 1/1 $225 week; 3/1 $112 week; if 4/1 $90 a week) includes weekly linen change and clean. Key locked Locker 1000x600x600 supplied as your permanent storage while at work.

The whole house (except for my bedroom and guest bedrooms) 3 bathrooms (one bathroom has a spa for your use); two well equipped kitchens including rice cooker, slow cooker; pizza maker and pressure cooker; 3 fridges; three washing machines; TV in each bedroom; Two living rooms with Foxtel (The upstairs living I am usually watching DIY, Health; Property cooking show, you are nwelcome to join me); two furnished gazebos and off street parking. Bonus – If you like cooking access to the herbs in the garden, even a curry leaf and lime tree.

Enjoy the use of the bookcase in the upstairs sun room crammed with books on Self Help, Motivation; Property Investing; money saving tips; and Health, Relax in the sun room, read on the sofa with the sun pouring in on a cold winters day, yes we do have cold days!

Interaction with Guests
This is my residence, I am here most of the time. I am very open to answer questions and if a tourist, happy to make suggesttions. I have a wealth of knowledge in all areas. I do provide a folder full of sightseeing ideas and details of restaurants nearby. In each room is a local map for your use. It is marked where this house is and where local shops are, so you won’t get lost, take it with you.

The Neighbourhood
You are coming to an upmarket area with most homes valued from 1-6 million dollars plus. It is very safe and a quiet area, footpaths provided for walking whether a 25 minute walk to the beach or stroll around this area you will enjoy the vista of some magnificent homes and exclusive Schools with many amenities close by (read list in ‘the space’ section). You can socialise or enjoy a barbecue with others in the large gazebo, or enjoy the smaller gazebo for intimate relaxing or invite friends over to visit.

Other Things to Note
This house is proven to be very popular, it is an unusual find in an upmarket area.The rates are comparable to a backpackers Hostel, where most rates for a private room share bathroom start at $70-$110 a night and you are likely to be sharing with 100 others. The amenities and ambiance cannot be compared to this home verified by the number of returning guests, and the FI/FO mining staff who make this their home on their regular swing in Perth. We even provide key locked storage lockers at no extra for the regulars. We can even accommodate your excess luggage if you are staying for a few days, then going off travelling and coming back to stay some more.

House Rules
ROOM No.3 
•Respect to other guests is paramount no loud late night parties unless you okay it with other guests and invite them. 
•On a still summers night, noise travels avoid music system in Gazebo being on too loud as to not disturb neighbours. 
•Please use window scraper to wipe glass shower (to remove excess water, failure to do this leaves lime build up). 
•Leave kitchen sink clear as a respect others. Wash and put away cooking pots and place dishes in dishwasher. 
•Smoking outside, use special ash trays and empty frequently, do not throw butts on ground or in garden, if so you will see another side of me!!! 
•If your vehicle drops oil do not park on driveway, please park on front verge parking left of the main driveway (parking for three cars) 
•On vacating leave key in bedroom door, fold back bed linen, hang wet towels or place in washing basket. 
•Remove all food from fridge and your dry goods area, or put a note inviting others to use. 
•Cupboard above sink in downstairs kitchen is food for everyone’s use, (usually left by previous guests)

Myself and my fiancée had a lovely stay in Margaret's beautiful home. She provided everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The room was beautifully furnished and Margaret was a treasure trove of local information, we would highly recommend staying here!

It was a great pleasure staying at margaret fort. Margaret is nice & helpful, always making sure that we are kept warm and cozy at her place. The place is clean & big, with a kitchenette for us to do some cooking. There's even a nice patio for us to chillout. There's also plenty of restaurants & supermarkets just minutes away. I was very impressed with my stay at Margaret's home. As soon as I entered, I was greeted at the door. Everything was thoroughly explained to me and my room very spacious with ample wardrobe space. Facilities were all available including the much needed Jet-Spa!

Margaret made her home my home, an extremely comfortable, welcoming and relaxed place to stay. Fantastic location close to the beach and really good bus routes to the city and Freemantle. Margaret was on hand for guidance and great chats, and shared her great cooking skills by feeding me too. Beautiful terrace with stunning sunsets. Thank you Margaret for making this a lovely place to stay, very much recommended to travellers to Perth.

We were very skeptical in the beginning with using Airbnb however our concerns were alleviated once we met Margaret. She was a delightful host and always greeted us with a smile. She was very hospitable and accomodated for our needs very well. She was very helpful when we were unsure about what to do in Perth and more often than not, would research some stuff for suggestions. She also went beyond as soon as she saw you might need help like when we had poor lighting in the patio, she searched for a spotlight so we can enjoy our chill time. She is very pleasant in nature and approachable which made it so easy to also spend time with her and chat. Undoubtedly we would return to stay with Margaret again upon our next visit to Perth. Thanks Margaret!

Margaret is a great host, no doubt about that ! Our room was perfect, as were the common areas. The bus doesn't come often in the area so having a car is a plus. Margaret offered to hire her old car so it made it easier for us to discover the surroundings. We had a great time in the outdoor lounges, they are really well decorated and the one upstairs has a great view ! Using the bbq every night was a pleasure as well.

She’s extremely helpful and the others that stay there are very friendly!


Her house is close to the beach and convenient public transport that takes you straight to the city.


There is foxtel and all the other facilities to make your stay comfortable including some great areas to relax including a nice new gazebo with a lovely view :)


I’ve stayed at many Airbnb houses and this was easily the best so far!


I look forward to catching up with Margaret again for coffee as I have decided to move to this great city of Perth :)
